CEET Participates in TMS Inspiration Days

Focusing on Europe, a two-day conference TMS Inspiration Days, held March 17 to 19 in Krakow, Poland, surveyed current situation in translation market. Here, CEET was represented by our experienced expert, Monika Vítová.

Vítová says: “The discussion topics included market division and possibilities of asserting in it. One of the speeches dealt directly with the European market – its potential, clients, and competition.” The other part of the conference focused on systems for the management of translation orders, including the possibility of practical testing of various configurations.

CEET’s CEO, David Matuška, summed up the Company’s participation in the conference: “The conference brought both news on current events and useful experience. In addition, I find the creation of new business contacts with foreign partners worthwhile.”

Aside from other things, the Krakow conference conclusions confirmed the fact that while the current crisis brought stagnation in many fields, it has not had a significant impact on the business of translating. Matuška concludes: “It rather resulted in the reduction of some orders in spheres such as banking and automotive.”

“However, since the end of last year, the amount of orders has been increasing. This year's prognosis is good; many big projects are expected from companies that either waited on their translations in 2009 or are starting new projects. For the projects, they will need support, such as translation of either guides or technical documentation.”
