Euromatrix

• This is a project for a new machine translator developed by the European Union in cooperation with universities and CEET Translation Agency
• It is a hybrid translator model; to the statistical model it also adds linguistics, which shifts its quality by several levels above, for example, the currently most used Google software
• This new translator will be intended not just for EU bodies, but also for public and commercial companies
• It should cover all 22 official EU languages, that is 462 combinations; with the increasing demand for Arabic and Chinese there will be as many as 506 combinations
